About Me<\/h1>

I hate writing about myself. But here's what I do.<\/p>

My name is Slaven Vuji\u0107. I am a writer, travel writer, historical researcher, tour leader and travel organiser. I trained as a lawyer, have worked in all sorts of roles, and am a curious person by nature.<\/p><\/div>

I write books, travel and explore history, looking for stories in places others might overlook. I am drawn to old towns, unusual lives, forgotten historical events and places where history, culture and faith meet.<\/p>\n

I have written books, picture books, little volumes in the Chakavian dialect and poetry, while several more manuscripts wait patiently to be finished. One of my long-running research projects explores the life of St Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine the Great.<\/p>\n

Travel eventually became my profession, too. I lead and organise group trips, and I especially enjoy journeys that leave time to meet people, understand places and discover what the tourist brochures leave out.<\/p>\n

This website is where I gather my travelogues, books, research, spiritual reflections and stories that I find worth telling.<\/p>\n

If you like travel, history, books or simply good stories, I believe we will find common ground here.<\/p>

The world is full of stories. I tell them.<\/strong><\/p>
